Service Learning is a type of experiential learning in which students seek to apply or expand what they have learned in the traditional classroom setting through the completion of a community-based service project. Students will complete a minimum of 40 hours of community service and write two essays linking this service experience to their academic preparation and personal growth at Saint
Paul’s College. Students are encouraged to choose service experiences that relate to their major or career goals.
Students who successfully complete Service Learning will:
- Appreciate the value of service, in keeping with the mission of Saint Paul’s College
- Balance classroom course content with experiential learning gained through service
- Explore potential careers
