SAINT PAUL’S COLLEGE TO HOLD HONORS DAY
Saint Paul’s College will hold its annual Honors Day service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 inside the Kirby Auditorium located inside the Chicago Building on campus.
Longwood University’s, Dean of the College of Education and Human Services, Deneese L. Jones, Ph.D. will serve as the guest speaker. Jones began her service as Professor and Dean of the College of Education and Human Services at Longwood University on June 25, 2005.
Jones earned her Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on literacy instruction and her Master of Education degree in the same discipline from Texas A&M University. Her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education is from Texas Woman’s University. A native of Dallas, Texas, Dr. Jones moved to Farmville from the University of Kentucky at Lexington, KY where she devoted fourteen years of her educational expertise at the state, national, and international level.
Honors Day is a day in which students of Saint Paul’s College are honored with academic and performance awards/scholarships. The community is encouraged to attend the service.
